Im also proud to say that two out of my three students who competed in the last Philippine International Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Grappling Open won gold medals. Technically, Wendell Ponferada shared the gold medal with one of our teammates from Ateneo. Gully Go won the gold for masters division for the gi and no gi division and gold for the blue belt 65.1 to 72 kg. Eric Matic won his first match via submission but lost his second match to a Mike Fowler protege'. All in all, it was still a great performance from my students. I'm very proud of them!
